UNIST Duo Lubrication Controller for Narrow Stock

CONTROLLED, REPEATABLE LUBRICATION FOR STAMPING APPLICATIONS

The UNIST Duo™ fluid controller delivers controlled, repeatable lubrication for narrow stock used in stamping applications. It applies only the amount of lubricant needed directly to the stock, helping reduce fluid consumption, overspray, and excess fluid mess around the press.

The Duo™ supplies stamping fluid to a Mini-Roller™ or Uni-Roller® S2, which then applies lubricant cleanly to one or both sides of the stock. Integration is simple: connect the rotation sensor cable to the system, fill the lubricant reservoir, mount and plug-in the Duo™ controller and adjust the dispensing frequency and duration to suit the application.

A Simple Solution for Narrow Stock Lubrication

The Duo™ is designed to provide precise, consistent lubricant application in narrow-width stamping applications. Its dispensing control applies fluid where it is needed rather than using excessive amounts of lubricant.

CONTROLLED, REPEATABLE LUBRICATION

Consistent application to protect dies

Consistent lubrication helps protect dies and improve process efficiency. The Duo™ allows the amount of lubricant applied to be adjusted while significantly reducing stamping fluid consumption.

INTERNALLY-FED ROLLER APPLICATION

Apply only the amount you need

UNIST internally-fed rollers transfer a controlled amount of lubricant directly to the stock. This design uses only the fluid required, helping conserve lubricant and keep the area around the press cleaner.

LUBRICATION ON ONE OR BOTH SIDES

Mini-Roller™ or Uni-Roller® S2

The Duo™ can supply a Mini-Roller™ or Uni-Roller® S2 to apply lubricant to one or both sides of the stock. The Mini-Roller™ is designed for narrow stock, while the Uni-Roller® S2 accommodates a broader range of coil stock widths.

SUPPLEMENTAL OR IN-DIE SPRAY

The Duo™ controller can also control two UNIST airless spray nozzles when critical die components require supplemental lubrication.

Duo™ Benefits

  • Reduce fluid consumption by 50–90%
  • Eliminate messy floors
  • Smooth and consistent coating on one or both sides of the stock
  • 30% longer between die maintenance
  • Less than 1 year average ROI
  • Decrease scrap rates

Dispensing Tailored to Your Application

The Duo™ uses two independent electronic Pulse R™ timers to control its outputs. Dispensing frequency and duration can be adjusted to match the amount of lubricant required for the application. The two-button controls make adjustment simple.
