UNIST MicroTrace 5500 Advanced Vanishing Lubricant

MicroTrace™ 5500 combines the lubrication required during machining with rapid evaporation after the operation. Unlike a lubricant that remains on the part, it is formulated to evaporate once the job is done, leaving a virtually dry surface.

This characteristic is particularly beneficial when parts must proceed to another manufacturing operation. By reducing the amount of residual lubricant on parts, MicroTrace™ 5500 can reduce the cleaning required before secondary processes.

LUBRICATION FOR MQL SYSTEMS

MicroTrace™ 5500 is designed for use with UNIST Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) systems. It provides the lubrication required to protect tools during machining.

RAPID EVAPORATION FOR A VIRTUALLY DRY SURFACE AFTER MACHINING

After the operation, MicroTrace™ 5500 evaporates quickly and leaves virtually no residue. This property helps keep parts and the work environment cleaner while reducing post-process cleaning requirements.

PARTICULARLY WELL SUITED FOR ALUMINUM AND PRE-PAINTED OR ANODIZED PARTS

MicroTrace™ 5500 is specifically formulated for aluminum. It is particularly recommended for pre-painted or anodized aluminum parts when an oily residue is undesirable after machining. It is also suitable for steel, stainless steel, and brass.
