IDEAL DIN-TEC High-Speed Steel Circular Saw Blades for Orbital Cutting

High-speed steel circular saw blades for orbital cutting of metal tubes and pipes

IDÉAL DIN-TEC circular saw blades are specially designed for cutting metal tubes and pipes on portable orbital cutting machines. Manufactured from M2 or M35 high-speed steel (HSS), they offer precision, wear resistance and excellent cutting quality for industrial tube-cutting applications.

Suitable for cutting carbon steel and stainless steel, DIN-TEC blades can be equipped with IPC C hard coating to reduce friction at the cutting edges, increase their hardness and enable dry cutting. They can also be used without this coating, with appropriate lubrication.

DIN-TEC Technology: Precision and Durability for Orbital Cutting

IDÉAL DIN-TEC® circular saw blades are developed for cutting metal tubes and pipes using portable orbital cutting machines. During this type of operation, the blade cuts around the circumference of the tube to complete the cut. DIN-TEC® blades are designed to meet the requirements of these applications, where precision and cutting quality are essential.

Manufactured from M2 or M35 high-speed steel, these blades are suitable for cutting carbon steel and stainless steel. Both HSS grades offer cutting capabilities suited to the characteristics of the material being processed.

DIN-TEC® blades are intended for use on single-head cutting machines. They can also be resharpened to extend their service life.

Tooth Geometry Designed for Cutting Metal Tubes

DIN-TEC® blades feature Hook Tooth geometry, designed for tube-cutting applications. They are intended for cutting thin-walled and thick-walled metal tubes and profiles. Different tooth configurations are available to accommodate various workpiece dimensions and cutting requirements.

Two Cutting Options Depending on the Coating

DIN-TEC® blades can be used with or without IPC C hard coating, depending on the application. When equipped with IPC C coating, friction at the cutting edges is reduced, while hardness increases from 900 to 3,400 HV. The coating also provides greater resistance to cutting temperatures, allowing completely dry cutting operations.

For blades without IPC C coating, the use of a high-viscosity oil or an appropriate lubricant is recommended. The option of choosing between coated and uncoated blades allows the configuration to be adapted to the cutting conditions and equipment being used.

Features and Benefits of DIN-TEC Circular Saw Blades

IDÉAL DIN-TEC® circular saw blades combine the properties of high-speed steel with a design specifically developed for orbital cutting of metal tubes.

IPC C Coating

IDÉAL DIN-TEC® circular saw blades can be equipped with IPC C (Individual Performance Cutting®) hard coating. This coating reduces friction at the cutting edges and increases their hardness from 900 to 3,400 HV (Vickers hardness). It also improves their resistance to temperatures generated during cutting.

Thanks to these properties, DIN-TEC® blades equipped with IPC C coating can be used for completely dry cutting operations, without the addition of coolant or lubricant. DIN-TEC® blades are also available without IPC C coating. In this configuration, the use of a high-viscosity oil or an appropriate lubricant is recommended to ensure suitable cutting conditions.

The choice of coating and lubrication must take into account the material, blade configuration and characteristics of the machine being used.
