To support our growth objectives, our company, which has been in business for more than 25 years and located in Quebec City, wishes to add a director of operations to its team.

We are looking for a visionary and dynamic manager, versatile, with great adaptability, willing to participate in the evolution and success of the company. The director (or director) will have the mandate to ensure the good management and performance of everything that is not directly commercial (sales development), marketing and financial.

You will oversee:

  • Operations Management : Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of the different divisions and services under your responsibility (production, operations & customer services)
  • Supply and Inventory Management : Ensuring strategic and optimal management of purchases and inventories
  • Human Resources Management: Coordinate, mobilize and participate in the development of human resources under your wing (7 people): such as hiring, health and safety, planning of needs, training, disciplines, etc.
  • Management of Profitability and Growth of the Company : Develop and analyze performance indicators. Improve the effectiveness of the results. Manage projects. Actively participate with the management committee in the development, implementation and monitoring of the company's development and growth strategies. Academic requirements :

  • Any relevant training: administration, production, industrial management, mechanics; project management

Experience and practical skills :

  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing operations in a manufacturing or distribution company, industry (asset)
  • Expérience pratique en gestion des ressources-humaines
  • Experience in supply, negotiation and inventory management
  • Functional Bilingualism (Relationships / Communications with Customers, Suppliers and Partners)
  • Be extremely skilled and comfortable with the Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Familiar with import and export operations, transportation and logistics
  • Project management
  • Budget monitoring / analysis

  • Knowing how to manage and take action
