Flowdrill is a solid tungsten carbide tool, capable of locally displacing material to form increased material thickness. This increased material thickness allows for a stronger fastening connection by tapping, brazing or welding.
Flowdrill is available in many sizes, suitable to drill holes from 1mm to 40mm with material thicknesses from 0.5mm to 10.0mm. Flowdrill can be used in steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and some types of brass.
Creates a collar on the surface. The collar is formed from the up flowing material which is rolled over. Drilling is chipless and maximum material thickness is achieved. The standard type comes in short and long versions, the correct type is chosen according to the material thickness.
Designed for flush finishing. The flat surface is created by the milling cutters incorporated in the drill. The flat type comes in short and long versions, the correct type is chosen according to the material thickness.
Designed for aluminium. The Aludrill creates an extruded hole with a 120 degree counter sink. Aludrill can be used on machine centres with standard machine coolant.
